BallisticNG allows you to replace most of its sounds with your own. This is handled though soundpacks, which are folders containing all the files that you wish to replace existing sounds.

To create a soundpack, create a new folder in the UserData folder called MySounds and then in there create a new folder with the name of your soundpack. In this folder you need to put WAV files with specific file names. To then enable a it go to the audio settings menu, check the "ctm sounds" checkbox and select your soundpack from the dropdown.

checkpoint.wav Interface Plays when you pass a checkpoint, complete a lap and also plays every second in the last 10 seconds before you run out of time.
dropweapon.wav Interface Plays when you drop a weapon.
pickupweapon.wav Interface Plays when you pickup a weapon.
hitwall.wav Oneshot Plays when you fully collide with a wall or bottom out on the track.
startboost.wav Oneshot Plays if you get a start boost.
engine.wav Looping Looping sound for the ships engine.
recharge.wav Looping Looping sound that plays when the ship is being repaired.
turbulance.wav Looping Looping sound that plays when you use the airbrakes.
scrape.wav Looping Looping sound that plays when you scrape along a wall.
shieldlow.wav Voice Voice that plays whenever your shield energy drops below 25%.
eliminated.wav Voice Voice that plays whenever another contender is eliminated.
autopilot.wav Voice Voice that plays when you pickup an autopilot.
